Biography
Roya Eshraghi (1985, Iran) studied Anthropology in Costa Rica. In 2010, she made
her first short film ‘Playing with Sand’ in the 10th memorial of passing of her brother
(Foad). The coming year started her studies in Direction of Documentary at the
International Film School (EICTV) in Cuba.
The Tree which portrays diaspora was exhibited worldwide in the 5 continents.
Currently, she’s working on her first feature film called ‘A Constant Departure’.
Through visual poetry, transmitting her quest for freedom and her relationship with
her lost homeland.
Beside her interest in cinema, she has a fascination for embodiment, as well as the
intuition and connection with the heart. With this vision, she has created a space
surrounded in nature, called Finca la Luna (Farm the Moon) with the vision of
creating an Art Residency in a future. It is a place which will be inviting other souls,
encouraging them to connect with their storyteller, artist and healer within!
